Knowing that the actual experience of its hotels was its most important USP, CavoTagoo, a greek resort brand that owns the famous namesake hotels in Mykonos and Santorini wanted to redesign its website to convey exactly that. Opting to tackle the project with a completely new approach, Interweave designed and developed a site that eschews the ordinary to communicate the vibes, essence, ambience and feel of the renowned luxury hotels.
Letting the actual hotel experience guide our design process, we first identified four key “states” hotel guests are in when at Cavo Tagoo: feeling, moving, living and meeting. Organising the necessary information (such as rooms, facilities, the hotels’ renowned gastronomical experience etc) around those four areas, allowed us to convey the main sense of being at the hotels.
Similarly, the web design followed the visual experience of the Cavo Tagoo stay: revolving around the sun, with the sunset at its core. The home page is made to depict the actual time of day one visits it, with photos of the place at that exact moment, while the infinite scroll function and impressive photographs (produced by Interweave) throughout, convey the unique atmosphere and never ending partying that goes on at the hotels.
