Stavros Messinis, originally from South Africa, studied Electronic Systems Design and built a strong foundation in technology. He moved to Greece in 1996 and began his career as an Information Systems Manager at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Athens. From 2000 to 2011, he served as Director of Information Systems, modernizing IT systems and enhancing security.
In 2013, Stavros founded The Cube Athens, a hub for startups, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Greece. In 2015, he launched CampusBus, a Google and U.S. State Department-funded mobile learning center, providing training to 2,500 individuals across Greece.
In 2022, he founded Smart Flying Machines, a defense-tech company developing an intelligent aerial surveillance system. The company was acquired by Lambda Automata in 2024 to further develop its solutions.
In August 2024, Stavros joined Interweave as Project Coordinator and Innovation Consultant, where he leverages his extensive expertise to lead strategic initiatives, drive technological innovation, and enhance the company’s capabilities in delivering cutting-edge solutions to meet evolving business needs.
