The House of METAXA, an international spirit brand of greek origins, was in need of a new website, as the old one was dated and did not present the brand’s identity as a premium international spirit. The new website was to communicate the METAXA brand positioning in a contemporary, impressive way, be easily localized for all the international markets the brand was in, and should feature pages that could be easily shared on social media.
Interweave designed and developed an impressive website that weaved the brand stories into a multisensory experience, while serving the marketing requirements of localisation and easy social sharing.
The communication of the House of METAXA was based on the idea of exploration with all the senses, so we designed and developed a website full of visual and verbal metaphors that played on that notion, inviting visitors to explore the brand, its products and the world around them through their senses.
Using expansive photographs of the natural world that allude to explorations, intuitive vertical and horizontal navigation and short copies that were based on the themes of exploration, discovery and the senses, we created an immersive experience that presents the brand history, philosophy and spirit range in a captivating way.
We created a custom wordpress theme for the new website, so that it would be easy to keep secure, update, and customize and localize by the markets themselves. We paid attention to all technical aspects of the development process, to make sure the new site was optimized for all mobile and desktop browsers (as different devices are prevalent in different markets), that loading speed was minimal and that all transitions and animations worked smoothly, so that no matter where the visitor came from (country or device), they would have a premium exploration experience, just like the brand promised.
